Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Peel and cube the sweet potatoes. Boil the cubes in salted water until they are tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  3. Mash the sweet potatoes in a large bowl, then add brown sugar, milk, melted butter, vanilla extract, beaten eggs, and salt. Mix until smooth.
  4. Transfer the sweet potato mixture into a greased baking dish and spread it evenly.
  5. Make the pecan streusel topping by combining chopped pecans, flour, granulated sugar, and softened butter in another bowl. Mix until crumbly.
  6. Sprinkle the pecan mixture over the sweet potato layer.
