Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
- Peel and slice the Granny Smith apples and set them aside.
- In a bowl, whisk eggs, brown sugar, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and apple cider until smooth.
- In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry mix to the wet mix and stir until just combined.
- Fold in sour cream, diced butter, and diced apples until evenly mixed.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
- In a small bowl, mix pecans with a little brown sugar and sprinkle over the top.
Baking
- Bake for 40–50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool, slice, and serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
Serve warm for best flavor. Add vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for extra sweetness.
