Ingredients
  

For the Beef Strips
  • 1.5 lbs beef strips (sirloin or flank steak) Choose fresh cuts with good marbling for tenderness.
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil For frying the beef.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Adds flavor to the beef.
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated Fresh ginger enhances the dish.
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped For garnish.
For the Fries
  • 4 large potatoes, cut into fries
  • 1 tsp salt For seasoning after frying.
For the Coleslaw
  • 3 cups green cabbage, shredded
  • 1 cup carrots, grated
  • 2 tbsp red onion, finely sliced
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Method
 

Preparation of Beef
  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  2. Add the beef strips, cooking for about 3 to 4 minutes on each side until browned.
  3. Add minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Stir in soy sauce, sweet chili sauce, oyster sauce, honey, and black pepper, allowing to bubble and thicken.
  5. Incorporate sliced red bell peppers, stirring until tender, about 2-3 minutes.
Preparation of Fries
  1. Fry or air-fry the potatoes until golden and crispy, about 15-20 minutes.
  2. Season with salt immediately after cooking.
Preparation of Coleslaw
  1. Mix shredded cabbage, grated carrots, and sliced red onion in a large bowl.
  2. Toss with mayonnaise, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
Serving
  1. Arrange crispy fries on one side, coleslaw on the other, and spoon sticky chili beef in the middle.
  2. Garnish with parsley and a lime half.

Notes

For a spicy version, add sliced jalapeƱos or a dash of sriracha. To make it healthier, grill the beef and use sweet potato fries.
