Ingredients

For the Cocktail
  • 2 ounces Vodka Clean and smooth is ideal.
  • 1 ounce Coffee liqueur Kahlua is classic, but any coffee liqueur works.
  • 1-2 ounces Heavy cream or half-and-half Use 1 to 2 ounces depending on how creamy you like it.
  • 1-2 tablespoons Salted caramel sauce Plus extra for drizzling inside the glass.
  • 1 pinch Sea salt flakes For garnish on top.
  • Ice Big cubes melt slower and keep the flavor strong.
  • Optional garnishes Whipped cream, caramel candy, or tiny chocolate shavings.

Method

Preparation
  1. Drizzle salted caramel sauce inside a rocks glass, coating the sides.
  2. Add ice until the glass is three-quarters full.
Building the Drink
  1. Pour in 2 ounces vodka and 1 ounce coffee liqueur. Stir gently to chill.
  2. Float 1 to 2 ounces cream over the back of a spoon or pour it in and give a lazy stir.
  3. Sprinkle sea salt flakes on top and drizzle caramel.
Making It a Pitcher
  1. For 6 servings: Mix 12 ounces vodka, 6 ounces coffee liqueur, and 6 to 12 tablespoons salted caramel in a pitcher.
  2. Stir and chill. Pour over ice and add cream to each glass.

Notes

Chill your glass for 10 minutes before serving to keep the ice from melting too quickly. Use large ice cubes, and warm the caramel slightly for smooth drizzling. Adjust the cream to your taste.
