Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 pieces salmon fillets Opt for fresh, firm fillets with vibrant color.
  • 12 large shrimp, peeled and deveined Choose shrimp that are slightly translucent for freshness.
  • 4 cups mashed potatoes Can substitute with cauliflower mash or quinoa for lower-carb options.
  • 1 cup green beans Boil or steam until bright green and tender-crisp.
  • 2 cobs corn, cut into chunks Cook in boiling water until tender.
For the Glaze
  • 3 tbsp butter Melt over medium heat.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Sauté only until fragrant to avoid browning.
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce Use gluten-free soy sauce if necessary.
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
Spices
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt Be cautious with salt to avoid over-seasoning.
  • 1 tbsp parsley, chopped For garnish.

Method

Preparation
  1. Season the seafood: Sprinkle the salmon and shrimp with paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Make the glaze: In a large pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Stir in honey, soy sauce, and lemon juice until shiny.
Cooking
  1. Sear the seasoned salmon for 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden crust forms.
  2. Add the shrimp to the pan and cook for about 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque.
Preparing Sides
  1. Boil or steam the green beans until bright green and tender-crisp, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Cook the corn chunks in boiling water for about 3-5 minutes.
Serving
  1. On a large platter, arrange the mashed potatoes, cooked salmon, shrimp, green beans, and corn. Drizzle the glaze over everything and garnish with parsley.

Notes

For a more flavorful dish, consider marinating the seafood in the glaze for 30 minutes before cooking. Serve with a fresh garden salad and a light beverage.
