Ingredients

For the Steak Skewers
  • 2 lbs sirloin steak, cut into 1½-inch cubes Choose steak with nice marbling for tenderness.
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce Gluten-free soy sauce can be used as an alternative.
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
For the Fries
  • 4 large potatoes, cut into thick fries Fresh potatoes should be firm.
  • vegetable oil for frying Heat to around 350°F (175°C).
  • salt to taste
For the Salad
  • 2 cups green leaf lettuce Use vibrant greens for best flavor.
  • 2 medium tomatoes, sliced into wedges
  • ½ medium red onion, thinly sliced into rings

Method

Preparation
  1. In a spacious bowl, mix the olive oil, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, paprika, salt, and black pepper to create a fragrant marinade.
  2. Toss the steak cubes into the marinade, ensuring they are evenly coated. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Thread the marinated steak cubes onto wooden skewers, leaving space between each piece.
  2. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Grill the skewers for about 8–10 minutes, turning occasionally, until beautifully charred.
  3. Meanwhile, heat vegetable oil in a deep pot. Fry the potato pieces until golden and crispy, about 5–7 minutes.
Serving
  1. Arrange the steak skewers on a platter alongside the crispy fries and fresh salad. Serve immediately.

Notes

For added flavor, consider using fresh herbs in the marinade. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
