For the Broccoli

  • to taste salt and pepper For seasoning broccoli.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, paprika, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to create a rich marinade.
  2. Coat the chicken drumsticks thoroughly in the marinade and let them sit for at least 20 minutes for maximum flavor absorption.
Baking
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange marinated drumsticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 35 to 40 minutes, turning once halfway through.
  2. Ensure the chicken's skin is golden brown and crispy to confirm it's done.
Cooking Broccoli
  1. While the chicken is baking, steam or sauté the broccoli until bright green and tender-crisp. Season with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  2. Avoid overcooking the broccoli to maintain its texture.
Finishing
  1. In a small pan, melt butter and stir in fresh parsley. Once the chicken is out of the oven, brush this mixture over the drumsticks.
  2. Serve the drumsticks alongside fluffy rice and broccoli, drizzling any remaining garlic herb glaze over the chicken.

Notes

For a delightful meal, pair with roasted sweet potatoes or a garden salad. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days, or freeze for longer storage. Reheat in the oven to preserve texture.
