Fries Preparation
  • 4 large russet potatoes, cut into fries Choose firm and heavy potatoes for freshness.
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil For coating fries before cooking.
  • 0.5 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese Adds savory umami flavor.
  • 1 tsp garlic powder Enhances flavor of fries.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Toss the cut fries in a bowl with vegetable oil, garlic powder, paprika, and salt until evenly coated.
  2. Pat the steak cubes dry and season them liberally with salt and black pepper.
Cooking Fries
  1. Spread the seasoned fries in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven or air fryer until golden and crispy, about 20 to 25 minutes.
Cooking Steak
  1. In a hot skillet with olive oil, add the seasoned steak cubes and sear until browned on all sides, about 3-4 minutes.
  2. Lower the heat and add butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley to coat the steak in garlic butter sauce.
Serving
  1. Arrange the crispy Parmesan fries beside the steak bites on a serving platter, and spoon remaining garlic butter sauce over the top.

Notes

For best results, marinate the steak beforehand, and soak the fries in cold water for better texture. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3 to 4 days.
