  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • to taste Salt and black pepper
  • 6 wooden skewers, soaked in water
For the Fries
  • 4 large potatoes, cut into fries Create homemade fries for extra crispiness.
  • to fry Vegetable oil
For the Salad
  • 2 cups shredded lettuce
  • 2 large tomatoes, sliced
  • 1/2 large red onion, thinly sliced

Method

Marinate the Beef
  1. In a bowl, combine the beef cubes, olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, oregano, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix well until the beef is well coated. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
Prepare the Skewers
  1. Thread the marinated beef cubes onto skewers, making sure to leave small gaps between pieces for even cooking.
Cook the Fries
  1. In a large pan, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Fry the cut potatoes in batches until golden and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
Grill the Skewers
  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Grill the beef skewers for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally until charred.
Assemble the Plate
  1. On a large serving platter, arrange the beef skewers alongside crispy fries. Top with shredded lettuce, sliced tomatoes, and thin red onion for freshness.

Notes

Serve with a tangy dipping sauce like tzatziki or barbecue sauce. For a stunning effect, stack the skewers vertically when plating. Keeps well in fridge for up to three days.
