Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, toss sliced apples with granulated sugar and cinnamon.
- Spread the apples in a greased baking dish.
Oat Topping
- In a separate bowl, mix flour, oats, brown sugar, and salt.
- Add melted butter and stir to achieve a crumbly texture.
- Sprinkle the oat mixture over the arranged apples.
Baking
- Drizzle caramel sauce over the top of the oat mixture.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown.
Serving
- Serve warm, optionally topped with vanilla ice cream or Greek yogurt.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 2 months. To reheat, bake at 350°F until warmed through. For an extra kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the oat mixture.
